Alpaca fleece is one of the finest and most luxurious natural fibers in the world. Cashmere can be compared to the softness of alpaca fiber.
Alpaca is warmer, stronger, lighter, hypoallergenic, and more resilient than wool. It is not scratchy and many people that cannot wear sheep's wool can wear alpaca.
The fleece has been gently washed and uniquely dyed using our signature dye technique, The base color of the fleece is light to medium grey. This gives us a definition of color and a depth not found in one color dye bathes. Some of the grey shade will be present. The spinning results wi be a beautiful shades of bright, yellowish, green without the stripy look of traditional color combinations.
